Emily Newman is a photographer residing in Strathmore, Alberta with her family of four.
For most of her life, Emily has had an interest in photography: from taking family photos with her grandpa as a young child, to building a camera from a shoe box in high school, to teaching herself how to create long exposure images of waterfalls as an adult.
Originally from British Columbia, Emily’s true passion for photography came while hiking and exploring the rain forests and beaches of Vancouver Island. Her love for nature is strongly reflected in her work.
With no formal photography education, Emily is constantly experimenting and learning how to improve and make herself a better photographer. The next step in Emily’s photography journey is to expand her skills in Lifestyle and Portrait photography so she can share her passion for photography with more people.
